Abortion is incredibly unsafe. "Thirteen out of fifteen studies conducted on American women report increased risk. Seventeen studies are statistically significant, sixteen of which found increased risk. Most of the studies have been conducted by abortion supporters." Also, Dr. Janet Daling, an abortion supporter, did a study lead as well as her colleagues at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center had found a connection between cancer and abortion- "among women who had been pregnant at least once, the risk of breast cancer in those who had experienced an induced abortion was 50% higher than among other women."

Abortion should be legal because a woman should be able to make her own decisions. They have to carry a baby for 10 months, then deliver, and then take care of them for the rest of their lives. Plus, raising a child is not an easy job, according to all parents, they are needy since the day they are born. If someone doesn't have the appropriate living conditions or they don't have enough money to raise a child, they should be able to decide weather they want to have a child or not.

Patients for abortion are affecting their body as well as hurting the the forming child that's inside them. It is unfair to the child forming inside the woman because it was her choice to have the relationship with the other. Also, there was a debate whether the 14th Amendment should be passed or not. "During the debate on the 14th Amendment, Senate Sponsor Jacob Howard asserted the importance of every human to have equal rights to life. Howard felt that the criminality of abortion upheld equality, as the smallest and most helpless humans had the same right to life as anyone else." Furthermore, when the 14th Amendment was adopted, abortion was then considered a crime in every state.

If a girl got raped, it wasn't her choice weather she wanted to be pregnant or not, and maybe she didn't want to keep the baby. Abortion would the best solution for her because she wouldn't want the baby to remind her of the horrifying event that happened to her. A fetus is not considered a human being so therefore, you wouldn't be committing any crime or breaking any of the amendments if someone has an abortion. Making abortion legal is better because some people are still going to do it, but the difference is that if they do it illegally, they might not know what they're doing so it is going to be dangerous. With technology now a days, there are many safety ways to have an abortion without affecting your body and there's no risk.

Many believe that a baby is a gift from God and that everyone has a purpose in life. If we destroy a life, we are acting against the creator of the world, God. For those that don't believe in the Bible, there is a difference between life and death. Death is the termination of the heartbeat. The heart is formed by the 18th day the baby was formed in the womb and the earliest time for a woman to get a medication abortion is 10 weeks-70 days-after the woman's latest period. For an aspiration abortion, the woman should be up to 12 weeks far in her pregnancy. Both of these procedures have side effects. The medication abortion will cause the woman to have cramps and heavy bleeding. Aspiration abortion side effects include cramping, nausea, sweating, and feeling faint. There is a 10% chance of minor complications to occur and it includes possible heavy or prolong bleeding, blood clots, infections, damage to the cervix and perforation of the uterus. Therefore, killing the fetus is murder if the heartbeat has ended. If the heartbeat was used to define life then nearly all abortions would be outlawed. Also during the abortion, the baby will feel sensations around its face and mouth as well as a needle stick and draw back. Furthermore, the baby would most likely feel pain during the abortion as well as the mother of the baby.

Making abortions legal was one of the best ideas the US government had because before it was legalized, more than 5,000 women died each year because they wanted to have an abortion, but since it was illegal, they used methods that were unsafe and led to death. Now that it is legal, the death rate from abortion is extremely low; 0.6 per 100,000 procedures, according to the World Health Organization. Also, studies in the US ad UK revealed that abortion has nothing to do with breast cancer, which is every woman's fear, and yes it might have side effects but they don't lead to any diseases or death. Many people judge women that have abortions but according to a survey in the US, the most common reason for abortion is because women feel like if they have a baby, they're not going to be ready or they don't have enough money to raise their child and they feel like its better to not have a kid that have one and then stress out because they cant afford it.

Abortion causes psychological damage. Emotional and psychological effects after an abortion are more common than just physical side effects as I have listed before. The psychological and emotional effects can range from moderate to more serious complications such as depression. "In a study of post-abortion patients only 8 weeks after their abortion, researchers found that 44% complained of nervous disorders, 36% had experienced sleep disturbances, 31% had regrets about their decision, and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their family doctor." Since many women who've had an abortion(s) exclude distressing memories, feelings, or thoughts as a coping mechanism, there may be a period of denial for seeking psychiatric care. These repressed feelings may cause psychosomatic illnesses and psychiatric or behavioral in other areas of their life. "The meta-analysis examined and combined results of 22 studies published between 1995 and 2009 and included data on 877,181 women from six countries. All 22 studies revealed higher rates of mental health problems associated with abortion for at least one symptom, and many for more than one symptom."

Abortion may cause metal problems but not even 50% of women who have it are affect by those problems, and, they are not permanent. Scientists have found new way to help women that have abortions. Women just want what's best for the baby and 25% of women who have abortions is because the fetus was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis, Sick Cell Diseases, and other genetic diseases.

In the year of 2014, 53% of abortion patients paid out of pocket for their procedure. Abortion procedures cost a massive amount of money. For both medication and aspiration abortions, the exact costs depends on their location and their facility. "Planned Parenthood estimates that in the United States a medication abortion costs between $300 to $800 and an aspiration abortion between $300"$950." Also, many mothers have a difficult time talking about their experience with deciding whether to get an abortion or not to others because they are emotionally unstable about their experience. Also, each mother has many different beliefs, feelings, thoughts, values, and goals in life. They might feel anxiety and afraid of what everyone might think. Furthermore, there are risks for pregnant women who have had abortions in the past. Risks include vaginal bleeding during early pregnancy, preterm birth, low birth weight, and placenta problems. These problems and situations will make it difficult for women to have children. Also in 2014, most abortion patients had health insurance. About only thirty-five percent have Medicaid Coverage, while 31% had private insurances. However, insurance doesn't cover the abortion services, and even if it does, patients may not use their coverage for a variety of reasons. For example, the woman doesn't know her plan and they could be worried about confidentiality or if their provider would accept their plan.

Abortions might cost $500 for a women, but $500 is nothing compared to the amount of money than raising a child requires. On average, it takes $245,000 to raise a kid, that's 490 times the amount of money it takes to have an abortion. Women prefer to pay $500 or $700 and wait until they have enough money to support their child, rather than have a baby that it going to take a lot of money from them plus the time and energy that they need. Abortions are good because they decrease the rate of teenage pregnancy which is basically children taking care of children. Abortions also allow women to make their own choices. About 13,000 women have abortions each year because they were raped or incest. 50% of women who have abortions report that they used some type of birth control before they had sex with their partner because their plan was never to have a baby but things went wrong and the women ended up pregnant. They were well aware that it wasn't the perfect time for them to have a baby. Also, in a survey completed by women who had abortions, most women reported to be stressed out before they had the abortion rather than after they had it so having an abortion was the right thing for them to do because stress can lead to Pain of any kind, Heart disease, Digestive problems, Sleep problems, Depression, Weight problems, Auto immune diseases, Skin conditions, such as eczema, etc.
