I hope my opponent is doing okay. Hopefully he will return to make an argument. Until then, the burden of proof remains unfulfilled.

As long as people don't have *** with the same gender, then it's not homosexuality and not a sin thereof.

The bible is not a 'code' or a set of laws like the Ten Commandments. It is a composition of stories, recollections and teachings written by Jesus' disciples. disregarding the fact that the existence of God or Jesus is a hot debate topic, the Bible is interpreted completely wrong by people with little to no grasp of Christianity. Blatantly stereotyping that all Christians are hatred filled, discriminating bad guys only pushes ignorance further. But I digress, some people interpret the Bible many different ways, but the only way to truly challenge the views of homosexuality through the Bible is to actually read it.

I was not talking about justifying homosexuality, I was talking about how Christian use the bible to justify there own hatred, when they don't even follow the bible.

You're right that sin is sin either way, but that doesn't justify homosexuality.

According to the bible it is not wrong to be a homosexual. According to the bible it is an abomination to have gay sex. This is how the bible is used to justify hatred toward a group of people, which is wrong. Homophobia is wrong and hatred is wrong. If you truly follow the god of the bible then you must admit that god never says that you can follow the commandments you like and neglect the rest nor does god say that you can reduce the punishment he has imposed for breaking them. So do you follow the bible as god says or do you follow only the parts you like?

You better change your setup before someone accepts and contends that acting upon homosexuality is wrong according to the Bible, not simply being attracted to members of the same gender.
