I believe that as technogy is advancing, the level of intellect that our youth posseses is slowly decreasing because we rely on conputers and the internet to give us all the answers.

My opponent has took the wrong side. Look at the first round. I am Con and she is Pro.

Okay, let me begin.

"I believe that as technology is advancing, the level of intellect that our youth possess is slowly decreasing because we rely on computers and the Internet to give us all the answers."
Please note that my opponent uses the word "intellect". First of all, what is intellect? Definition from dictionary.com

in·tel·lect  [in-tl-ekt]

noun
1.
the power or faculty of the mind by which one knows or understands, as distinguished from that by which one feels and that by which one wills; the understanding; the faculty of thinking and acquiring knowledge.

2.
capacity for thinking and acquiring knowledge, especially of a high or complex order; mental capacity.

3.
a particular mind or intelligence, especially of a high order.

4.
a person possessing a great capacity for thought and knowledge.

5.
minds collectively, as of a number of persons or the persons themselves.

Does intelligence change over time? Several studies have shown that intelligence does not change over time. For my opponents argument that our youth's intelligence decreases over time to work, intelligence would have to change.

Conclusion
Even though our youth can get lazier, their intelligence is still the same.

Seriously, do you do this on purpose or what? You keep starting 5 round debates and then forfeiting every round! I am very annoyed. Why start a debate if your not going to finish it?

I would take this if not for the fact that I know you'd just forfeit all your rounds.

Your argument is for pro, but you are on con. Switch sides and I would be happy to debate this topic.

I don't think that this is a debate which would work, because it's not something which can be discussed- it's factual. the only way someone could win this debate would be showing the increase or decrease of child intellegence since computers were used in homes and showing that there is correlation. It's basically factual.

Reduce the number of rounds, and make your position more clear (and be accurate about whether you're pro or con on the topic), and I may be interested.
