Should medication be restricted and have age limits? I believe if the person is Under 21 they MUST have a Medical and Mental Health Provider be in attendance, and Parents Signature and Parent Present as well as other supporting documentation why this medication shall be given? Without this NO Medication shall be prescribed. For those patients who are Under 21 give them medications with the less likelihood of abuse, addiction or fear of other drugs in the system. The same should be true for POT and other drugs!

I'm not pro but the original poster is listed as con. I am Con.

Medication should not be given age limits. There are plenty of options in place to prevent abuse including limited refills and small doses. If someone needs medication, they shouldn't have to jump through hoops to feel better. You state that this will prevent abuse, how so? If anything, this will drive people towards the black market as it's a lot simpler to find narcotics there than get it through the proper channels.
Also, what about individuals who are 18-21 but no longer live with a legal guardian? Should they be denied medication vital to their health because mommy and daddy aren't there to sign for them?
Marijuana and alcohol are available to adults who are 21 years or older but they aren't essential to your health. No one is going to die by being denied those drugs, but the same cannot be said for legitimate medication that can help their illness.
Also, the vast majority of addictive/commonly abused drugs are temporary prescriptions that are heavily regulated. More regulations put in place will just drive normally legally abiding citizens to the black market.
