Last time I failed to post in time. Sorry about that; I was grounded. Religion is not stupid.
this topic is stupid.. anyway, religion is fairytales for grown ups |

False. Religion is not stupid, it brings morals; the death of religion is not the solution to our problems, it will make things worse. It is not just a fairy tale either. There is scientific evidence for a Theistic being.

Let me list the Ten Commandments, basic rules of morals God has instituted for His people, as stated in every Abrahamic religion.
1. You shall have no other gods. Meaning: We shall not worship false gods or materials. 2. You shall not take the Lord's name in vain. Meaning: Do not make promises on His name if you can't keep it, use swear words,or use His name as an exclamation. 3. Honor the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Meaning: Regularly attend church to worship Him. 4. Honor thy father and mother. Meaning: Honor your parents. This goes for other authorities as well. 5. You shall not murder. Meaning: Do not kill human beings, or harm them physically of mentally. 6. You shall not commit adultery. Meaning: Do not look at others lustfully. When you have sex there are requirements; you must be married to a person of the opposite sex, and you must be doing it with your spouse, with the goal of procreation. 7. You shall not steal. Meaning: Do not steal things, this includes time when you are wasting others' time. 8. You shall not commit false testimony against your neighbor. Meaning: Do not lie. A half-truth counts as a lie. 9. You shall not covet your neighbor's house. Meaning: Do not be jealous of your neighbor's inanimate objects. 10. You shall not covet your neighbors wife, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or his donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. Meaning: Do not be jealous of your neighbor's living possessions or living possessive nouns. Do you really think that those Commandments which I have shown above aren't filled with morals? Now to rebut your statements about morals being opinions. Do you really think that it is an opinion for murder to be immoral? Religion and most of non-religion society find it repulsive, thus, it is immoral. Morals are defined by the people's majority and religion.
are any of those moral? |

Reasons for voting decision: Neither side did a very good job but I think con listing the 10 Commandments was the closest thing to an actual argument in this whole debate.

Reasons for voting decision: I agreed with the Con before this debate started, and I still agree with him, so good for him. Conduct was tied, and the Con used the 10 Commandments as a source, so he gets that point. vi-spex also did not include a single capital letter and only had one punctuation mark, so the Con will get this point as well.
As for the most convincing arguments, Pro put forward his ideas but did not explain them. He also failed to refute the Con's arguments with examples. Con did not exactly explain his points that well either, but he did try rebutting Pro's argument, so he wins this point.
And with that, he wins the debate in my opinion.

Reasons for voting decision: pro has assertion w/o backup, while con just asserts also w/o backup. tie.
I don't know about other religions on the other hand.
