I'm gonna throw it out there. I believe anyone with "not saying" and "no answer" in their profiles should be promptly (after a week or so) deleted from this site.

Reasons and Supporting Evidence

1. Vote bombers and those with multiple accounts typically are too lazy to fill these simple categories out.
2. Lazy people on this site will only clog it up with the votes of the lazy.
3. Screennames are being taken up by these unoriginal users who are lazy.
4. Fellow debaters cannot get an idea of who they are actually debating.
5. Most members with "Not Saying" or "No answer" filled out for all their categories rarely engage in debate. If they're not debaters why are they here? To comment? To vote? I'd rather only have experienced debaters vote in my debates.

To wrap up this debate, I'd like this challenge to come from a "No Answer", "Not Saying" member of this community. I bet they'll be to lazy to click the accept button.

As anyone can see by viewing my profile I have a handful of "not saying" or "no answer" categories. You may also see that I have been quite active on this site. I'm a debater, I comment, and I vote. I'm quite experienced and I don't vote on things I don't know about or don't understand.

1. Vote bombers will just take the extra 2 minutes to fill these categories out randomly if this rule is passed.
2. There's always going to be lazy people on this site. Most of these "lazy" voters are actually just biased voters and since you can't get rid of bias, you can't get rid of these "lazy" people.
3. Add a 1 or 2 after your name, it's not that hard.
4. It doesn't matter who you're actually debating. Who they are shouldn't affect how you debate.
5. Read my first paragraph.
6. Not everyone knows about every category and randomly putting down answers doesn't help anyone.
7. People shouldn't be required to know every category.

No characters left, more points next round.

Good luck

I can affirm my opponent as being an active member of this site. However I cannot affirm that he is not lazy.

1. I doubt vote bombers will even care to, as there purpose of vote bombing can and will easily be completed within a week.
2. There may always be lazy people on this site, however does my opponent imply that eliminating laziness is as bad thing?
3. Not that hard, but yet the originality of a username is gone. Stolen by a do nothing think nothing member of this site who takes up bandwidth, clogging this site with useless and outdated information.
4. It absolutely does, knowing the background of anyone can help you understand where they're coming from and thus how to defeat them easily.
5. Read my first sentence.
6. Anyone who spends a minimal amount of time on this site knows what every category is. Perhaps my opponent is referencing the "Big issues" list. I was merely referring to the Education, Income, etc. not the big issues. Perhaps I was not clear enough.

Con

My turn
1. Vote bombers will care if the rule is passed and take that extra 2 minutes.
2. By doing what you imply you will also elimintate many non-lazy people who want to keep things personal.
3. If the username was that original, the other person wouldn't think of it. Otherwise, adding a number is fine.
4. People have the right to keep things personal. I never realized people looked at those points that much and gained that much from it.
5. You have no proof that I'm lazy. You call me an "active member" and "active" is contradictory to "lazy", thus I am not lazy.
6. I was referencing to Big Issues list. For the categories you're talking about most of my previous arguments still stand. Some people are embarassed of their income and education. Others might not want personal information like their ethnicity, religion, and the gender they like out on the internet. It's a matter of privacy, and whay you propose would not stop vote bombing because of reasons I have already listed.

1. No logic presented (defense stands)
2. Name one category that you would consider "Personal" that I couldn't simply find out by guessing or searching the internet.
3. Unfortunately that may be the case with such a small community as this, however as this community grows that may no longer remain the case. Adding the number simply is not an option!
4. All information is beneficial. For what reason would others choose to be "private" or so you term it.

Ladies and Gentleman of the audience, my opponent is attempting to shield lazy members like himself with a sad word, and that word is "privacy". We should not allow people who feel like they must keep basic information "private" or people who are just to lazy to fill out the category on this site. Why do you need to keep your GENDER private? What purpose does that serve? You're embarrassed of your sex? This is nonsense! Do not be swayed by this excuse for laziness, this "privacy". We must eliminate these "No Answer" people!
crackofdawn

Con

1. If vote bombers want to keep that account, they'll fill in the categories.
2. Income, people are embarassed if they're social status/poorness/richness sometimes.
3. You're name is not original if others are using it, if these people are truly that lazy they won't think of an original username.
4. Some information is private. People deserve private information. People are embarassed of some information and others can make themselves vote bombing targets.

"Why do you need to keep your GENDER private?"
If you're homosexual you might want to put interested in men but not you're gender, or vice versa.

CONCLUSION:
People can be embarassed of certain statistics (i.e. sexual preferences, income, education, occupation) or they might want to protect themselves from vote bombing because of things like sexual preferences, ethnicity, religion, ideology, party, and occupation. Vote bombers will randomly fill in categories if rule is passed, defeating the point of the rule.

I see where you're coming from, askbob, but I don't think that laziness has much to do with it. Things like income, religion, sexual orientation, etc., are things that people prefer to keep to themselves. I'm pretty sure people around here don't just vote at random because they're lazy and don't feel like reading it all.

I have to side with CON. Personally I have many "no answers" and that is because I do not know or understand much about the topics. But that is why I am using this site. To learn about issues. For some possibly they could just be voting to help someone win but, for others there could be privacy issues or they are just uninformed, like me. But for personal matters like age, or relationship status, those are private things that shouldn't be made public. This is not a site where everyone comes to find about whose dating who and who is doing what. This is a debating site and I am not sure how often your age, gender, or relationship status comes up in a debate. I am not saying it won't but not very often. Also you can't often trust what people's profile say about them.
So all in all I have to say I side with CON because this site wasn't made to know your private matters. If you want to show them, then you have the right to do so. But to force others to that is a violation of privacy. Now that I read this again I realize that I have somewhat veered off topic. Some of my words may apply more literaly to other matters, but I still feel that no one should be made to publically show things that are private. No matter how small or insignificant.
