I would like to argue that "America is a lunatic state" here before you today. I would like to bring up the oxford dictionary to define the word lunatic.

Lunatic (noun) - A mentally ill person
http://www.oxforddictionaries.com...

America Has Been At War 93% of the Time " 222 Out of 239 Years " Since 1776.

In other words... 93% of its time, on earth, in this world, it is at war with someone else. If you had a friend (or knew a person) who spent 93% of their life fighting other people you would call them a "lunatic". That individual would be locked up in a prison or a mental facility for mental illness or in other terms "for being a lunatic". The list of these wars can be found in the link below.

Thank you very much for this round!

For quite a long time, I have known that other countries view mine as the "Bully Nation" of the world. Americans has for a long time invaded other countries. Sometimes the reasons were justified and sound. Other times"not so much. Sometimes we were led to war on false pretenses, by the neoconservatives, so they could profit off their war machines. If I step out of my shoes and look at my country from an outside perspective, I could imagine other countries thinking of mine as an a**hat of a country. The main difference between being an a**hat and being a lunatic is that I believe my country was of sane mind when it went to war so many times. I believe my country is sometimes cruel and sometimes very, very stubborn.

I would like to acknowledge my opponents grace in having much humility over historical facts. However I still feel like "**s-hat" is an understatement, at best, on a good day.

Only a lunatic would drop a nuclear bomb on civilian populations. Not once but twice. And under the same of "saving lives". This is the language of a crazy person.

Look at the American news today. Who are we going to invade next?

"Afghanistan first, then Iraq, oh no now Syria, but then there is ISIS should we bomb them, Iran we have to watch out for Iran, Russia is the biggest threat, no wait Libya, OH NO it's actually North Korea again!" The madness doesn't stop.

If I was an alien and I picked up the American Media's news in space, it would sounds as if, "All hell on earth is breaking loose". It would sound like the world, was in a state, of lunacy. Hence why I would like to again, enforce the proposition to be true.

Since this is not a debate about WWII and I do not want to digress too much" The reasoning behind the two nuclear bombs was that invading Japan was (under)estimated to cost 1 million American soldier"s lives and countless numbers of Japanese lives [1]. A Japanese Army officer in Yokohama believes that an invasion of the Japanese homeland would have caused the death of every Japanese citizen and soldier [2]. I feel the 2nd link is very accurate to the horrors of what would have happened if Japan had not honorably ended the war. While the reasoning for dropping the nuclear bombs was horrible and the long-term effects and suffering for the innocent people of Japan has also been horrible, they were dropped by sane people making calculated decisions.

Pro asks "Who are we going to invade next?" and with a great sigh. . . .probably Uganda to fight the LRA. We sent some military advisers there recently and military advisers usually come before significant troop deployments.

The Japanese army was surrendering with white flags up across the country by august that last year of world war 2. Japanese soldiers were dying more of starvation than bullets all across the pacific islands. The Americans were ready to engage in combat and could have flattened Japan easily. But again America being the Lunatic that it was thought it would just drop a nuke like cowards rather than face the fierce desperate Japanese solider who was a warrior ready to die in the heart and face of battle and willing. It also needed to tell Stalin who the new boss in town was going to be.

Ive never seen a crazier nation in modern history than the USA. However ISIS thinks its crazier than the USA and the USA is going to prove them who "The Real Crazies Are"

I would like to thank my opponent for participating in this debate. I apologize for my controversial style tonight... then again why should the truth be controversial ?

Vote to have it be resolved. America is a lunatic state.

America is a lot of things, both good and bad; but "a lunatic state" is not one of them.

4 points to Pro (Conduct, Arguments). Reasons for voting decision: Pro is VERY nice. Conduct and convincing arguments go to Pro because they are more convincing than Con's

[*Reason for removal*] (1) Merely stating that one side had more convincing arguments is insufficient. The decision must be explained " merely pushing the button tells them who you thought had more convincing arguments. (2) Conduct points should not be awarded solely because one side is "nicer." Unless one side is openly rude to the other or engages in clear misconduct (e.g. plagiarism, forfeiting a round), the conduct point should not be awarded.

And for one thing BadKitty, we are not going to carpet skid anyone with a bomb! This would not be good economically and would cause a war most likely with the UN, and no not a WAR but a long "talk"

Once again, you have no evidence to your claims sir. I am most certainly not a patriot of my country but I do not tolerate un-intellectuals.

Mind me but he is actualy right, BadKitty. We could have fought those damn Japs and killed them a thousand times over with or without the Nuclear bombs! Mind my words but I said this to show that he sounds foolish. He would rather we would have gone in and fought them into their capital, losing our own men and them losing theirs, rather than ending the war quickly.

Now the nuclear bomb was in development else where any how so it was either we un veiled it then or someone else did.

Already, this man has no actual evidence that the United States is a "lunatic State". If anything the United States is nosy just as other country s are. That is what responsibility we get as a leading power in the modern world. Most of this is due to the second world war after pearl harbor, since then we have strayed away from neutrality. Which I agree with completely, that neutrality is at times a good thing.

That's not a technical term, so you're going to have to define what you mean by that.
