Pro

First; here's a pie graph of the US budget: photo FederalBudget.jpg

As you can see; more than half of the US budget goes to military; approximately 600 billion.

Heres a comparison of the defense spending of the top 6 military spenders:

China spends more money on defense than an country other than the United States, but the United States still spends almost 4 TIMES AS MUCH AS CHINA.

Why does America need to spend more money on defense than the next 5 greatest spenders put together!
That is the reason why military spending needs to be reduced; we don't need a military the size of 5 OTHER COUNTRIES PUT TOGETHER!

Reasons for voting decision: Well, the pie graph is simply wrong, but CON completely forfeited. US expenditures in 2013 are nearly $4 trillion, compared to the $600 bln military budget.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro presented an argument and had the sources to back it. Con was disappointing and wasted Pro's time. Good luck you both in future debates.
