I personally believe that Android is better than iPhone, because of the operating systems, and durability of the phones. Firstly, Android's last much longer than iPhone. iPhone's have a proven tendency to break down after only a few short months. Broken lock screens, broken screens, broken home buttons, and shortened battery life all plague the iPhone. Meanwhile, the Android phones last longer, with more durable screens, and harder shells.
I believe iPhones are better than androids because even though they may have better durability I believe that is only because they learn from the mistakes of Apple. A lot of their devices were constructed off the original ideas made by Apple. I feel that Android would not have progressed in the technology world if Apple's product was not pioneering the way.
Both Apple and Android have interchangeable parts, both taking from each other. For example, the IOS 8 keyboard has been available for Android since 2012. The only original idea that Apple has had was the original inception of the smartphone, since then, Android has excelled in making phones more convenient for users. It is irrelevant now if Apple "paved the way" because the industry of smartphones is always evolving, and needs new front runners. Additionally, Blackberry was the first to enter the smartphone world in 2003. Apple's first smartphone came out in 2007. So really, Blackberry "paved the way". Lastly, Android has capitalized on key mistakes by Apple, this is a business about results, and Android is producing the better product.
