Why should animals even be abused? Their suppose to be a mans best friend.

Thank you con for hosting this debate.

There's perfectly good reasons to subject animal's to torture. Factory farming is essentially legalized animal torture[1].If factory farming were eradicated the cost of certain meats would jump by 40% or more [2]. Factory farms are large operations that employ upwards of 700,000 people annually[3]. If we strop torturing animals 700,000 people are out of work and due to increased food prices most likely starving to death.

I support people being able to feed themselves and have a job. So I support factory farming.

I apologize for my last statement. It's inappropriate in this setting. Next time I shouldn't attack animal rape as cruelty in a debate with you, not in a comment section. Sorry, dreamofliberty.

I'm surprised you didn't take the debate dream of liberty. Don't you support raping animals? Unless rape isn't a form of cruelty.

His argument is worded good enough. I will defend animal cruelty. Hopefully I've fixed my arguments sense the last time I tried to defend it.

I would be willing to take this debate however I am not sure what your argument is. Please provide a more coherently worded argument to this comments section and I will happily debate you.

@ ADreamOfLIberty Actually this is a good debate topic when you introduce the definition of animal cruelty. Have you ever seen the inside of a slaughter house or a chicken truck on the highway? How much cruelty is allowed before your cross into the unallowable threshold. The debate is left pretty wide open, but Keniebaker is only 14 years old.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct due to forfeit, sources due to Pro having the only sources, arguments due to Pro having the only arguments. Also, just a correction for Con - not all animals are "mans best friend." Pretty sure that lions and great white sharks don't like us, that tends to apply only to dogs.
