Anime is a term for Japanese animation. Anime often covers more serious topics than the typical cartoon. In America, cartoons are considered a form of entertainment meant for children. In Japan, people of all ages watch anime. Most shows and movies are centered for kids, adolescents, or young adults, but there are also many anime that are made for the older crowd, even businessmen. There are many genres in anime with basic categories like comedy, romance, action, drama, and pornography (hentai). There are also anime with content meant specifically for boys (shounen), girls (shoujo), and businessmen. For more detailed explanations of the types of anime, take a look at our Genres section and hopefully you will learn something while viewing some great pictures. - http://www.umich.edu...

Anime is certainly for all ages because, if you have seen proper anime there is always me sexual scenes or inapropriate to young eyes. Anime artists like to exaggerate women alot in their eyes, hair, body shape and breasts. Which in a way, could be sexist. So in this point it is obvious that it can be very sexual and love for one in some videos goes a bit out of control.- http://www.serebiiforums.com...

Overall, anime is not only for children but aimed at all ages. In Japan, anime is one of the top most watched things across all ages. It is amazing and the graphics sometimes can be so good, that it is obviously not just for children.

Sorry for forfieting, I just moved house ;)

2ninjacat, you should probably avoid something as risky as this... This is a really hard resolution to argue against. Thankfully, this didn't get sniped by experienced debaters!

Reasons for voting decision: Con actually put more than one argument, and provided definitions and sources. Arguments and sources to con. Pro seemed to be confused as to what side of the debate he was on, and didn't even show up after round 1. Conduct to con. Spelling and grammar is tied.
