Pro

Yes, because they are just born they dont know whats going on or what to believe in yet.
ncheer

Con

no, I agree that they don't know what's going on but that would mean they don't have a religion
Debate Round No. 1

Pro

They may not have a religion yet but they still could grow up and choose one. I agree that being just born and not believing yet doesnt make them atheist but they still dont know what to believe yet all they know is its cold theyre hungry and your mom.
ncheer

Con

yeah but I think it kind of depends on their parents because if their parents go to church and stuff they could believe the same things their parents do

Both sides were awful at arguing this. I refuse to vote for either.

Babies are atheists because they lack belief in a deity. Atheism is not a religion, but the lack thereof. Therefore, one who lacks religion is an atheist.

Reasons for voting decision: Con was illogical and failed to answer pro's original question. Also, he used worse grammar than his opponent.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro had better spelling and grammar and, despite both sides arguing horrifically badly, Pro's opening statement went without contest by con. Thus pro wins. Not by much though.
