I put it to you that genealogy alone grants no one access to the kingdom of God. Consider this just an introductory statement and basically a free turn to my opponent.

Are you going to heaven simply because you accept christ?
If, as you put it , "genealogy alone grants no one access to the kingdom of God", Is Jesus God granted access or denied access for being a Jew?

Where did Jesus go for three days, after the crucifixion? It's taught...Jesus went to hell for 3 days, so it's safe to say that the Jews are not going to Hell for simply "not" following Him. The only people guaranteed to go to Hell are Christians, after all, the flock follows the shephard. But wait, Jesus is God? so then God went to Hell? No that's absolute proof of God being fallible in the most blasphemous way possible. I guess this is where I'm told "Jesus was God, only in the form of man" which again makes God (according to Christianity) fallible. So since no form of logic can justify the Christian belief, and in assuming if argument was read right now, I would be bombarded with bible quotes that make even less sense than the structure does as a whole...let us focus on the historical aspect.

Jesus was crucified by th romans, then the Romans said "woops, we goofed" and, by means of the Roman Catholic Church, enter Christianity...so the people who wrote the book "how to crucify the messiah" also wrote/comprised the book "how to follow the correct path to the messiah".

I dont think Jesus plays a roll in anybodys access into heaven, except for Christians desire for it to. If both a Jew and a christian, feed and clothe a homeless man...then it's the act that is seen by God. So yes, Jews deserving of the kingdom will be granted access." To say "following Christ is the only sure guarantee into Heaven"," then Hitler (a Christian) is in Heaven right now," not for his acts, but for simply accepting Christ.

1. Yes, if you BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST then you ARE SAVED.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

2. Works have NOTHING to do with salvation. We are saved through grace and faith.

Matthew 19:25-26
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed , saying , Who then can be saved ? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Romans 3:23-24
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Notice that the passages DON'T mention in any way that you better be "good", in fact they say that there is no such thing. We can rest assured that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God.

3. Whether Jesus went to hell is irrelevant. If He did it wasn't permanently, it was part of the payment for our sins. Also to try to limit God based on your limited understanding is to present a flawed fictional God that I nor Christians/Jews prescribe to. It is your job to argue that THEY DO in fact go to heaven so what are you basing it on? What scripture confirms this? Anyway, the matter at hand is: Do you automatically go to heaven by being a Jew just because you are a descendant of Abraham (or any genealogy) even if you deny Christ?

Luke 3:8
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

God did make a covenant with Israel but God has also throughout history shown that if the people turn against Him that He can disperse them and bring them into trying times until they have repented and come back to God.

4. Whether Hitler went to hell or not is again irrelevant. The authority is not ours to say who is worthy and who is not. Without concrete evidence as to whether Hitler was found to have genuinely believed on Christ who can say for sure?

5. The debate is not about works or being good at all. "Are Jews going to heaven regardless of denying Christ? I put it to you that genealogy alone grants no one access to the kingdom of God." Furthermore, even if it was about works then that would make the matter even more difficult for the Jew since NOBODY can fully follow the law and all the observances, etc. Everybody would be found guilty and not 1 single Jew would have access to heaven even further damaging your argument.

In conclusion:
A) God says to avoid genealogies and that they are endless and pointless.
B) Believing on Jesus is the only way.
