There is an argument on wether or not we are actually polluting our oceans. Some say that everything is fine, but others say that we are polluting it so much that we are about to go into ireversable climate change. What do u think?

Con

By standard DDO maxims, I shall provide definitions of the terms.

We - refers to Pro and someone else [not specified who]
Pollute - contaminate; defile
Oceans - a very large expanse of sea

Pro has asked to offer the opinion without making any round limitations. Therefore, I shall begin in Round 1 itself.

While the BoP is on Pro, I shall nonetheless construct a negative case:

Negative Case

I assume that Pro means that Pro and I are deliberately polluting the oceans. Contamination of the ocean is purely contextual, and it is not specified even if toxins are contaminants; for example, contamination can even be contamination in a so-called "spiritual" sense. This is not shown. So, I shall show how we are not contaminating the ocean.

1. If x causes death, what is proof that x is a contaminant? Is death a non-beneficial result? Pro has not expanded on this.
2. To "defile" something is to "render it impure." [1] Purity is a relative definition. Pro must also prove that the results of alleged damage to water bodies by Pro and myself cause impurity. To note, death is not necessarily impurity in a spiritual sense.

Pro must fulfill their BoP in the next round, or I win the debate.
