Astrology is a massive organised practice with irrational, illogical, unreasonable, unscientific claims of celestial bodies determining the nature of life of certain human individual. There's no scientific evidence to prove any of its claims, yet it is able to draw human interest, and hence become something like a business itself. It forecasts obvious, generalised behaviour and claim to win the trust of thousands. Even though it seems mostly harmless, these services are supported and funded by governments of some countries, and often intrude lives of people, changing who they mate, what they do, what they believe in. I believe Astrology the root of all superstition, and equivalent to symbiotic parasite slowly eating our sense of reasoning away.

Indeed, some of the statements made in astrology are completely bogus, but keep in mind that we live in a completely entangled world where things seem to pop out of no where. When such a thing happens, humans naturally began a perpetual search for how such a thing works and occurs. Therefore, it is somewhat necessary to lay slight dependence and trust on what has been stated, since you have no eligible evidence to disprove it.

There was a pdf file getting around that I couldn't locate today but I've seen it with around 3000 astrological personal predictions, that professional con artists (Astrologists) use to tell their clients.
All they do is play pin the donkey on this list and give the statement to the unsuspecting victim, who goes away thinking it was a genuine personal prediction.
I think they also used the list in Chinese fortune cookies.
A multi-use list. LOL :-D~

Do we really need a debate on something that is altogether obvious.
Of course Astrology is fraudulent.
It comes from a very bad misconception of the Arabic genuine attempts to map the stars.
Somebody took their genuine Astronomy maps to Europe and created a mythology around their drawings that we now know as Astrology.
It was all just a way to extract money from the wealthy by pretending to be able to map their futures.
It's one of the longest surviving public confidence trickery institutions.
Mostly kept alive by naivety and bored housewives.

Reasons for voting decision: Con's "argument" was vague, pointless, and completely wrong; thus completely suitable for the practice he was attempting to defend. Pro failed to establish that astrology is actually fraudulent, but his statements - as far as they went - went essentially unopposed.
