I predict that Barack Obama will gain more pledged delegates than Hillary Clinton in tomorrow's big nationwide vote. I believe this for several good reasons:

1. All the latest national polls reveal strong trends towards Obama. The same is true of polling done in states that will be voting tomorrow.

2. Obama has spent more money than Hillary on advertising and has a much stronger ground game in many of these states. Turnout, turnout, turnout....

3. Strong African-American support will help him carry some states in the South.

"1. All the latest national polls reveal strong trends towards Obama. The same is true of polling done in states that will be voting tomorrow. ", First national polls, don't always predict the winner. Example the New Hampshire Primary, polls going in showed Barack winning by as much as 10%. Hillary won that contest.

"2. Obama has spent more money than Hillary on advertising and has a much stronger ground game in many of these states. Turnout, turnout, turnout....", So what Romney spent almost 45 million in Iowa and Huckabee won spending 500,000 dollars. Ground campaign, Hillary has the Clinton Machine, it is so feared, that Russian media is afraid of it lol.

"3. Strong African-American support will help him carry some states in the South.", carry him, in southern states, all other races are tight, and others are no contest like the north eastern states, like New York and Hillary is winning California as well.
"poll of polls" -- puts Clinton at 45 percent and Obama at 43 percent. Those five surveys were done by CNN/Opinion Research Corp., Gallup, Pew, ABC and CBS. Clinton is winning in the all.

She did win more delegates, she won about a 100 more on Tuesday. He is catcing up, but it is about Hillary Clinton. She won New York, California, New Jersey,
741(Obama)-768(Clinton). As you can see it was a close. Very close and I am rooting for Obama, but I knew Hillary would get more by a little margin, but a little more. She got 27 more, but he is closing the gap. vote for me please.

So do you agree and change your vote that Bigbass clearly had the superior argument? He made a good number of unrefuted points and Uber was a noshow.

Oh, and you don't mean STP because you want to vary the temp. At 1 atm water boils at those temps.

I won't go too far into chemistry with this, as was not the point.

You are right about the temp at which it boils, depending on pressure. I should have included STP (standard temp and pressure), where pressure is at 1 atm (atmosphere).

And it is covalent bonding, the nature of the bond is polar. And that is not the reason (polar) that the molecule is "odd-shaped." A water molecule is described as "bent" because oxygen has two pairs of unpaired electrons (refer to "octet rule"). That is four of the 8 electrons. The other four are bonded (two each) to the hydrogen. This is an sp3 configuration, and if there were 5 atoms in the molecule, it would be described as "tetrahedral." 4 atoms would give pyramidal. 3 atoms (water) give "bent."

Ohhhh the woes of Organic Chemistry. lol

I understand you points. And you're right... if a person does not understand that a flawed argument is used, then he should lose.

Triplechecked, it's polar bonding. Polar covalent. Uneven sharing of electrons. Causes the odd shape of water.

Doublechecked, covalent bonding not ionic.

"you can't dispute that water is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. That the atoms combine together with hydrogen bonds. And that Water has a melting point of 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and a boiling point of 212 degrees Fahrenheit." -- Actually you can.

Water is put together via ionic bonding, not hydrogen bonding.
0C (32F) freezing point and 100C(212F) boiling point for water are based rather specifically on pressure. You'll find your water boils far easier on top of a mountain. With a vacuum pump and a bell jar you can boil water at room temp. Clearly those three things are not only disputable, but disputed.

You can show the counting of objects works out in the real world. You can logically prove via a recursive definition the entire number line. Or have a changed number system argued back to you (based on what is stressed in the opening). The truth or falseness of the topic doesn't actually prove the better debate. I've seen somebody try to weasel out of a clearly open and shut topic with an interesting and yet flawed argument. The opponent failed to even understand the argument or the flaw in it and thusly loses... and rightly so.

The point of a debate is the debate, not the topic.

I meant to say that the water molecules combine by hydrogen bonds. The atoms themselves combine with covalent bonds, lol.

Btw, I have studied quite a bit of chemistry.

As another example, you can't dispute that water is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. That the atoms combine together with hydrogen bonds. And that Water has a melting point of 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and a boiling point of 212 degrees Fahrenheit.

Any debate against it is senseless, as I could probably cite hundreds of places where this test has been scientifically proven.

In this particular debate (Obama winning more elected delegates), you have the results, and Obama indeed won more elected delegates over Hillary Clinton. Trying to disprove that, is ridiculous.

Yeah, and I don't see any sense in the 2+2=4 debates.

Look, if somebody wants to debate complete truth (like trying to prove that 2+2=5 is false), then they can "for fun." There is no purpose to it! It is summed up in a single line "Count on your fingers: 1...2...3...4... 2 plus 2 is four. Not five!"

Those debates are segregated from the rest, like this one. Note that the debated STARTED the day before the election. So I propose that the results of the race were announced the very next night... and only 1 round of debate was needed. The statistics is part of the debate, and Pro was indeed correct in his assessment. You can argue against the facts, but you will always lose. Why? Because you can't REFUTE facts.

Absolutely! I would vote for the person who argued the world was flat if the argument given was far superior. That's the core of debate. For example, there are a number of debates along the lines of 2+2=4 or 1=2 and these debates are clearly true or false in an obvious sense but the arguments given are varied and remarkable. Likewise, I've won an argument in favor of 2+2=4 as well as won an argument that 1=2. In both cases my argument was superior to that of my opponent.

I have a debate in my debate list against the idea that kittens should be tortured and killed. I never put forward any argument which appeared to address the topic claim and rightfully lost. There are 10 people who voted that I won the debate, categorically those 10 people are wrong to have voted for me. Regardless whether kittens should be tortured to death or not.

Why is that a bad reason? Pro was correct... he said Obama would win more pledged delegates... and he did! That's like saying you'd vote for somebody saying the Earth is flat. They are wrong, but if they made a "better argument," you would vote for him?

I would hope not! lol.
