Barack Obama will win the Iowa caucuses later today on the Democratic side.

Although I support Hillary, I actually think Obama will win the caucuses in Iowa, which start roughly 14 hours from now. I waited until now to make this prediction because it has been a very close race, but I think the latest indications are enough to predict a triumph for Obama.

My best piece of evidence is the latest Des Moines Register poll, which has Obama leading 32 to 25 (Clinton) and 24 (Edwards). The Register poll strikes an air of respectability and historical accuracy, having correctly predicted many prior races. Independents, a group strongly inclined towards Obama, will form a higher share of the caucus participants on the Democratic side than ever before. They are the ones likely to give Obama the edge since registered Democrats prefer Hillary by a considerable margin.

In the last few days, Obama's crowds have grown noticeably larger, a good sign that the campaign has momentum. On the other hand, crowds at events by Hillary or Edwards show no relevant shifts.

All three campaigns boast terrific organizations - Obama should not have a problem turning out his core supporters.

Due to the above reasons, I predict a victory for Obama. If you think otherwise and are willing to argue your viewpoint, let's have at it. The wonderful thing about this debate is that the winner will be beyond doubt after tomorrow!

Your arguments do not address any of mine. Furthermore, as I said below, I'm not talking about the Republicans. Chuck Norris is not even running for the Presidency. You could be right in opposing me, Obama might not win, but your reasoning is shoddy at best.

I made my case fairly convincingly. Not only did I make the right prediction, I made the right prediction for the right reasons, which is equally important in the context of the debate.
