Iron Man

Stan Lee is a marvelous man who is famous for his design of marvel superheroes. That of which, the best, Iron Man.

Contention 1- Personality

Tony Stark is the man inside the iron suit. He is a multi-billionaire, ladies man and a brilliant genius. After the death of his parents, their business is handed down to Stark to take care of and he does so greatly. He takes his knowledge and advances technology and helps build weapons for Stark industries. While on testing grounds, Stark gets abducted in Afghanistan and is held hostage until he builds the weapon of their choice. Undergoing a serious heart surgery from the abduction, Stark secretly creates The Iron Man, an indestructible suit that will soon help save the world. Stark flees from the caves of Afghanistan and goes back to advance his new found super suit. This story of Stark shows how confident and hardworking this man is. It shows that determination and perseverance can get you anywhere and he is a true superhero because not only did he save himself, he soon saves innocent victims all over the world. He has love and passion for what he does and is a strong, independent character. The Iron Man becomes a nationwide suit for the military to help soldiers fight and keep America's Freedom. In comic books, Iron Man helps out with plenty of wars and the defeat of great super villains while being a mysterious, strict character with some fun, witty jokes.

Contention 2- Superpowers
Tony Stark had created a suit of armor, or in other words, an Iron Man. This suit is almost impossible to destruct. The suit consist of countless weapons, a GPS navigation and can travel at incredibly fast speeds. Tony Stark is hardly ever harmed because of how advanced his suit of armor is. This suit was multiplied and was given to America"s military for protection and their freedom. Not only is Tony Stark a generous superhero, he's also a brilliant genius and created this suit as a prisoner of war with very little help and supplies. Iron Man is undefeatable because of surprise. No one honestly knows how to defeat this suit of armor. If the suit does become damaged, Tony Stark could easily build a new one the next day. This evidence is from modern day Iron Man and showed in the first movie of Iron Man. After every battle with Iron Man and his super villain, Iron Man always comes out safe and unharmed while his opponent is crushed into the ground. He does not necessarily need a sidekick like Batman's Robin or Wonder Woman's Wonder Girl. Iron Man works alone and has done the time for his achievements. He's earned his superpower while some become bit by a spider or were born from a different planet. Iron Man is a one man band and that's why he's so popular because of his confidence and his own determination. Iron Man arrives on the battlefield on call and fast, even if he's across the country. Iron Man is always on time and ready for battle. Tony Stark knows his suit, and his suit knows Tony Stark. This is why the two combined are indestructible.

Well my opponent wished to talk about the personality of Iron Man. I would contend that Bruce Wayne is a better person. This is a man that had to deal with the loss of his parents at an early age and used that tragedy to not only learn how to be an amazing business man but also pushed his body and mind to the ultimate edge. He learned discipline through the martial arts that serves him not only as a business man but also as a superhero. He has learned how to walk the fine line between good and evil that allows him to deal with the most horrible and twisted men and women with out losing sight of morality. Batman is the conscience of the Justice League that keeps them from ever crossing the line from protector to ruler. With this in mind I would contend that Batman has the greater personality.

As for superpowers, Batman does not have any superpowers at all other than being tenacious. Tony Stark has a superpower of his mind which allows him to create his suit. Batman only has his training and tenacious attitude as he fights villains. He does have a variety of toys that he has created for his use through the use of his vast amount of resources. Batman comes prepared for all situations with his utility belt but also uses the materials on hand as well. This flexibility allows him to adapt quickly to all new situations.

Batman lacks the technological skill and usage that Iron Man has. Sure, Batman is the dark Knight, but it is really Iron Man who can be prepared for anything.

(plus Iron Man is Marvel and Batman is DC)
