Personality-wise, like most Batman fans would agree, batman is a much more relatable character than superman. Superman is basically unbeatable in combat and demonstrates no coming-of-age. Batman, however, is a normal human that will sometimes be defeated, but will come back and defeat his opponent. Superman can just do things, but Batman actually has to try. One of the most annoying things to me about Superman is how overpowered he is. It"s bad enough that he"s indestructible, can fly to alternate dimensions at will, and that his sneeze will destroy an entire solar system, but it's even more annoying that, despite his ability to read and understand complex books in seconds, freeze or melt most materials, see through anything except lead and move well in excess of 5,000 feet per second, he still can't even maintain crime in one city. These are the reasons why Batman is overall better than Superman.
I disagree. Batman might be the most unrelatable DC comic book character when comes to everyday life. Not only is he a multi-billionaire and philanthropist, but he also witnessed the murder of his parents and was left orphaned as a young child with Alfred, his butler. Also, he has mastered all forms of martial arts, and holds several degrees in various fields. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't remember Bill Gates or any other billionaire's being this accomplished. This basically rules out all people in the world. The only relatable trait of Batman compared to superman is the fact that he is human. However, superman on the other hand, is a reporter for Daily Planet. Apart from the fact that they are both superheroes superman is far more relatable. He is not all that overpowered as you make him out to be. He has two main weaknesses that can be exploited at any time, and has at many of times. Most notably they are kryptonite, the red sun, magic, and massive physical forces.
