Anyone can accept.

Definition of a "bad president" in this debate: A president that will harm his country, its people, and its relations with other countries and foreigners more than he/she will help it.

First round: acceptance
Second round: Main arguments
Third Round: Counterclaims (additional arguments allowed)
Fourth Round: Final rebuttals and conclusions (no more additional arguments other than rebuttals).
Thank you.

Well, let's begin. Thanks for opening this argument. Usually I would be on the side of saying Ben Carson is a bad president, but in order to better understand the Republican view of the world, I will play Devil's advocate. Mind you this is actually my first debate on this website in a position I don't even support, so my arguments might be a little weak. First of all, of all the presidential candidates on the right wing, he's most likely the most balanced in his views. While the running lead for president is the maniac known as Trump, we have Ben Carson, a man much more modest than trump, and a man that is actually somewhat likable. He is prepared to work on evolving and strengthening education (being a highly educated man himself), he believes that minimum wage should be raised, and is prepared to compromise on many topics such as abortion, legalization of medical drugs, and even, to some degree, gun control laws. Running on these ideas of balance, tolerance, respect, and education, I would say that Ben Carson would be a good president.

Sorry for forfeiting a round. I was busy. You may post your arguments and counterclaims in the round three and may post your rebuttals and conclusions in round four.

To begin, the notion that Ben Carson is "moderate" is a myth. Ben Carson has compared Obamacare to slavery and has compared modern America to Nazi Germany. Does this seem "moderate" to you? Ben Carson has also compared homosexuality to bestiality and, if you have read his book One Nation, you'll realize that the book is extremely biased towards Christians and republicans. In the book, he claims that he believes that both republicans and democrats and both Christians and people of other beliefs should get along and be better people, yet he only brings up examples of the problems non-Christians and liberals and democrats have had and had pretty much ignored the issues Christians and republicans and conservatives have had. He also spent several paragraphs in one of the later chapters of the book purely ranting about how he disagrees with several scientific theories like evolution when he was supposed to write about how our nation can become a better nation. This proves that he is way too biased towards Christians and conservatives. He has also had a tough time understanding the separation of church and state. Ben Carson has claimed many times that America is "oppressing Christians" when in fact studies show that Christians have it way easier in America when it comes to what the general population thinks about them compared to atheists and Muslims. But then, of course, whenever Ben Carson does say something extreme and controversial, he blames it all on the media. This only proves that Ben Carson is in no way "moderate" and is in fact a crazy and hard-core nut.

Ben Carson also has no idea how to run a country. The only thing he's got going for himself is his stance on political correctness. However, being against excessive political correctness is not enough to become a good president. Ben Carson has said claimed to support the constitution, but when the Supreme Court made some rulings that said that banning homosexual marriage was unconstitutional, he wanted to actually fire the supreme court justices that made that decision. The fact is is that he does not actually support the constitution as much as he supports his own beliefs. Finally, Ben Carson has no experience in politics and there is no evidence to support the fact that he actually understands the different concepts of running a country. In fact, one of his own advisers even came out and said that Carson was "dumbfounded" when it came to foreign policy. All of this only proves that Ben Carson has no idea about how to be a good president.

Ben Carson is one of the worst candidates right now. He has struggled to grasp what evolution and the Big Bang theory is all about despite the fact that he's supposed to be "educated". He is a bigot who only considers his own opinions and has no idea about how to run a country. Do not vote for this guy.
