In this argument, I will use my argument from another debate on the Big Bang: http://www.debate.org...

"The Big Bang Theory states that the universe started off in a singularity and was immensely dense, hot and held all the energy in the universe. It is important to note that while this amount of energy was extremely vast, it was not infinite.

We do not currently know where the singularity came from, though that in itself is not evidence against the Big Bang, since we still have large amounts of evidence for it. For example, the red shift. The red shift is evidence of galaxies moving further away from each other, because due to the Doppler effect, if an object is emitting waves in all directions and moving, the waves behind the object will be spread out, having lower wavelengths. In this case it is light moving to lower wavelengths, moving to the red end of the spectrum. This showed that the universe was expanding. Due to this knowledge, we can infer that once the universe was a lot smaller than it was today. Using complex mathematics, physicists worked out that the universe was once so small that it was in a singularity. They also worked out that the rapid expansion of the universe from that singularity was the big bang.

Very early in its history, the whole Universe was very hot. As it expanded, this heat left behind a sort of "glow" that fills the entire Universe. The Big Bang theory predicts this and also predicts that it should be visible as microwaves. This is the Cosmic Microwave Background which has been measured by orbiting detectors. This is very good evidence for the big bang."

Due to the fact that he has forfeited his arguments, I cannot attempt to refute anything he states. Thus, I will stand by my first argument.

Reasons for voting decision: Con forfeited 2 rounds, Conduct goes to Pro! Pro provided an argument, namely the expansion of the universe, that implies that the universe once was very small. The theory that explains this implication is called as the Big Bang Theory. That is a scientifically correct (although there are mistakes in Pro's explanation of red shift, they don't affect the well known scientific conclusion that the universe is expanding since there is a shift towards red, longer wavelengths in spectrum, in the light coming from galaxies from all directions) and logically convincing argument. Since Con hasn't provided any rebuttal to this argument to consider and since it is a cinvincing argument for the BB Theory, then A goes to Pro!
