A Overpowered government is more dangerous than overpowered businesses. I would rather have a small government that doesn't regulate as much. I understand that this could lead to monopolies and overly powerful buisinesses but I would rather have this than an oppressive government. With a large government there would still be large powerful companies but they would be owned by the government. I am not saying that there cannot be something in between.

Sorry I haven't really gotten my thoughts organized yet I just want to see what everyone thinks about this.

This is basically a capitalism vs. communism arguement.

Although, I ( think, I am a little confused by your wording) that I agree with you that, yes, oppressive government is typically more harmful than large businesses, I decided to take the oppositions stance for a change. However, I am a little confused by your wording, and I was hoping that you could clear this up for me in your next argument, or in the comment section.

" With a large government there would still be large powerful companies but they would be owned by the government."

This confuses me because it seems like both sides of the argument are in this scenario.

And this isn't a capitalism vs communism argument either, just because there're regulations which do affect the way a business operates, does not mean that private ownership does not exist. It is a more of a free-market vs regulated capitalism argument. Anyways, please help me understand your argument, and past it below!

Good luck!

I think my opponent is no longer active on their account. There was never a debate.
