First off the definition of Biological Evolution
Biological evolution is defined as any genetic change in a population that is inherited over several generations. These changes may be small or large, noticeable or not so noticeable.

and scientific theory
A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method, and repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation.

Argument
Biological Evolution is more supported by evidence than gravity and it also has no competing theories.
These five things help support Evolution.
1. the fossil record of change in earlier species
2.the chemical and anatomical similarities of related life forms
3.the geographic distribution of related species
4. the recorded genetic changes in living organisms over many generations
5. experiments

There is no alternative theory for Evolution.

Con

Pro has asserted "Biological Evolution is True"

This is his BoP, as he affirmed the resolution.

This means he must be able to prove with 100% certainty that it is fact, or scientific law. As Pro has already claimed it is a theory, he has already contradicted himself.

Nevertheless, I will make one point refuting the 100% truthfulness, or fact, of biological evolution as a theory.

One of the definitions for "scientific theory" is " repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation."

We cannot currently, or repeatedly observe and experiment for evolution. Only observations of past fossil and organisms can be made, this making it all assumptions on the evolution process.

I shall reiterate:

Scientific theories are not facts. (Not necessarily true, not necessarily false)

Pro must determine the Evolution is True (or fact)

Please being your arguments in the next round.

Yes my interpretation of law, was incorrect. As I have not mentioned "law" since the first round.

However, scientific theories are not true...only likely. So my point still stands of the premise:

Well, con obviously has no idea what a scientific theory and what a scientific law is.

Yes, being a theory does not immediately assume that something is false. However, it does not prove something is true, only LIKELY.

My opponent has decided to affirm that it is true. Theories are not proven to be 100% true. Therefore, he has seemingly incorrectly affirmed a resolution, which is not my problem.

if the argument would be "there are no scientific theories as reliable as evolution"
then i would have had an entirely different debate on my hands.

LOL, why do people make a huge deal out of the word "theory"? A theory does not mean it's not true. And guess what? Theories don't become laws. It's like saying how do you make the whole dictionary a single word.

you should change your wording, your argument is very prone to semantics. Scientific theories and facts are only likely or unlikely. Evolution is Extremely likely, however, like all scientific theories, it would take just one experiment to prove it wrong. It would be better to say Evolution is most likely true or say that there is shared BoP

I consider all things to be falsifiable if we are given enough time to search for other plausible explanations. That being considered, as of right now it would appear that the theory of evolution is incredibly well backed by the most respected minds in the scientific community, and void of all illogical and irrational religious rebuttal (sorry to offend) evolution can't really be argued against.

is it falsifiable?

There is nothing to debate Evolution is a theory you can't debate it until a reasonable and more supported alternative theory can debate against evolution. But until than there is no debate. I am just making sure there isn't another theory that is as strongly supported as Evolution, that i don't know of.

AlexanderOc, its a theory so it is valid. If it was not it wouldn't be a theory. So stating its a theory means i am saying the theory of Evolution is valid.

How is this even debatable. Evolution is obviously a theory. The validity of the theory can be debated, but not whether it is one.
