Should the United States get off their lazy butts and stop the cult Boko Haram? Personally I vote Yes, there has been enough kidnapping, deaths, and violence already.
Chimera

Con

I accept the challenge.

I will argue that the U.S. should not become involved with Nigerian affairs, and that doing so will be detrimental to U.S. security.
Debate Round No. 1

Pro

Con

Since my opponent has not made his opening argument, I will start with mine (keep in mind that I only have 500 characters):

Opening Argument:

U.S. intervention in Nigeria to stop Boko Haram is a waste of time and effort. We have already tried to root out other terrorist movements in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and all that has done it make their numbers grow. Why are these movements growing? Because by killing off individuals in their organization, you are creating new martyrs for their movement.
