We think that bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki was necessary to end the war.

The U.S. should not have dropped the atomic bomb on Japan. The U.S. shouldn"t have because it killed tens of thousands of civilians. Also it destroyed their economy that they had before the war. In Fact the Japanese even hoped for a negotiated peace and a conditional surrender, and the Americans only demanded for the unconditional surrender of Japan. The use of the atomic bomb was unethical and immoral as if created a new meaning of total war by destroying thousands of civilians in grotesque manner.

If the U.S. would not have dropped the bombs, there would have been more deaths than what the bombs did. The Japanese were not looking for a treaty, they wouldn't give up and would have killed more people.

The US was justified in the bombing of Japan. The United states went as fair as to handing out leaflets in Japan to get the japanese to surrender. the Japanese refused the United states effort to come to a peaceful ended to the second World War. With the Japanese refusal to surrender the United States began investigated other possible options. With the winter nearing the United states did not have the time nor the resources to begin a invasion on Japan. with the idea of an invasion out of the picture The United States of American began looking into the use of their newly developed atomic bomb. As a last resort the US went with their last option and used the atomic bomb. When the United States bombed Japan they strategically chose the manufacturing and military occupied city of Hiroshima. The destruction of Hiroshima left the Japanese in shock, the military crippled and showed what extents the United States was willing to go to to put an end to WWII

America was justified because if they had not dropped the bombs then Japan would have of kept on attacking the US. And the US was justified to drop the bomb because of the way the Japanese had bombed Pearl Harbor. President Truman thought that there were more military people in Hiroshima than there were civilians. For every action is a reaction. The action here was Japan dropping the bomb on Pearl Harbor and the reaction was America bombing Japan. America was in the right for this and Japan wouldn"t have of stopped fighting until something was done about it. President Truman had bombed Japan so he could impress the soviets also. In the end America was justified because more people would have of died if the bombs were not dropped. Japans emperor and Japan would not surrender until some type of force would have been used. I mean yea they could"ve found another way to stop Japan but at the time President Truman thought that the atomic bomb was appropriate to use.
