Bubblegum is really entertaining because the bangs from the bubbles scare people. Many schools do not allow chewing gum because the chewing may be distracting in class, and the gum might carry diseases or bacteria from other students and people stick it on desks. Also the Singapore government outlawed chewing gum in 1992 because it was becoming a danger when people stuck it in the sliding doors of underground trains. You can also choke on it and it can disrupt the digestive system.

Gum may be bad, but it has one amazing value. As demonstrated in Hubba Bubba Comics and Bazooka Joe Comics demonstrate, the bubble allows people to fly and, on more than one occasion, the bubble flight and banging sound have SAVED LIVES!
Now how do you feel?
Another point - the gum incidents mentioned in hes arguments are all the stupidity and rule-breaking of HUMANS, and the gum was not at fault! If people didn't spit their gum into the subway doors or stick it on desks, then his argument would be invalid. the GUM, however, was not at fault in any of those issues...

They are still valid arguments, if someone was shot with a gun we still say the gun is bad even though it is not its fault.
The choking and digestive points are the complete fault of the gum and if you say it is the fault of the person for swallowing it then consider this, if a person lives next to a volcano and it erupt and kills them would you say it is their fault for living next to the volcano.
Also you have not presented a single valid argument during this entire debate. YOU CAN NOT FLY USING GUM and in your own argument you say "Gum may be bad".

check and, incidentally, mate.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Con. Pro forfeited R3, which is rarely acceptable behavior in any debate setting. S&G - Tie. I was extremely close to awarding this to Con as well just because of Pro's R1, however when looking further I noted several additional mistakes made by both sides in spelling, improper capitalization and missing punctuation. Arguments - Con. Pro was clearly attempting to troll. Although there was an attempt to save himself with the latter end of his rebuttal in R2, it was beyond repair. In R3 Con delivered the finishing blow. I will expand into detail if necessary, but for now, it seems pretty obvious. Sources - Tie. Neither utilized sources throughout this debate.
