Racism is a common problem in the world today. We have all seen it. When we look at the definition of this word we find this " prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior." Take a look at that for a moment. Inside that, it reads that someone of one race discriminating towards a member of the other because they believe they are better. No where in that does it say "White" or "Black". The act of racism is not defined by your skin but by your feelings and thoughts. We associate this word with certain races due to the history of race relations in the past. Therefore we overlook the other ways this word can be used to describe the actions and thoughts of Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and other races towards Whites, or any other race.
African Americans can not be racist toward whites. The word racism was created during the early 30's the first definition was "Americans discrimination against other races or religions." According to the original deffition any Americans can be racist, not Africans, Jews, Arabics, Mexicans, no other race except for Americans or whites can be racist.
