God cannot be both Merciful and Just for mercy is an absence but justice.

How are justice and mercy mutually exclusive?

A person who sins deserves to die, for that is divine justice; but a person who repents and accepts Jesus into their heart shall be resurrected, for that is divine mercy. Justice is served and then mercy is shown. Only those who don't repent are denied mercy, for they have denied God, and they are thrown into the Lake of Fire.

And anyway, God is omnipotent. He can be anything and everything.

If some one who sins deserves to die, then how do people ever get a chance to repent? Also if you sentence them to death for sinning, isn't that's what they need to serve? isn't it? cause when god takes them out of "The Lake of Fire"(My favorite Nirvana song) then the punishment is deducted, no fully served, because of mercy. So how is Justice being served if you don't have to serve it?

Yes God is omnipotent, but even with that, he cannot go against his own logic! Can he make 2 2=5?

Before they die.

"Also if you sentence them to death for sinning, isn't that's what they need to serve?"

They do. Everybody dies. Even Jesus died.

"cause when god takes them out of "The Lake of Fire"... then the punishment is deducted"

Not true.

Revelation 21:8, NIV
"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars"they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." [Emphasis mine.]

The first death is the wages of sin, which all humans pay. The second death is the punishment for refusing the love of Jesus Christ.

All people die, because God is just. The righteous live again in Heaven, because God is merciful.

"Can he make 2 2=5? [sic]"

Of course he can, he's omnipotent! For some reason he decided not to when creating mathematics, and that's his business.

Do you also think a parent cannot punish their children for their mistakes while still loving them and forgiving them for anything they do?
