First round is acceptance only. Con will say that non-Christians cannot believe in Jesus's existence AND religious purpose. Just to clarify to any one who may be confused.
AtheismAndChill

Con

Non Christians can't believe in Jesus' existence and religous purpose. Before we begin, I'd like to thank my opponent for creating this debate as I would have never thought of this topic.

Well duh,
The Muslims KNOW Jesus existed... but they believe he was a prophet, not the Messiah
The Jews KNOW that Jesus existed... but they believe that he was not the Messiah
The Romans KNOW that Jesus existed... and while they were at it, Killed him.

The only argument for the Con would be arguing that we do not exist... thus, Jesus did not exist... Thus, he can have no religious importance

Yes because anyone could believe in anything they want.

This is the same thing as asking if a non-Mormon can believe in the existence of Joseph Smith but not his religious importance.

I just hope that anyone who accepts as Con is just doing so for the challenge, instead of actually believing that, because the Pro stance is obviously correct.
