Museveni will not relinquish power peacefully, in fact judging by the recent sham elections held in Uganda, I have reached the conclusion he is now working on a project of life presidency.
I can see Museveni using the Robert Mugabe template to rule Uganda until he dies in power.
yes, the leader of Uganda Museveni can leave power peacefully. the notion that violence is the answer is perverse. in fact like the saying goes, it is the young men who have not stepped on a battlefield that feel excitement at the drums of war as such, the Arab spring was proof enough that the world is not stagnant beneath the feet of many of these leaders. I contend that Museveni can be removed from power when 1. he dies or 2. he looses the backing of the elite class, something he has managed to retain with pure finesse which would divide his power base and weaken him 3. a worthy Challenger sweeps him from power. Uganda as a country has failed to produce a uniting figure that can unite the masses. how can the opposition be composed of serial and professional politicians that once bedded and were bedded by Mr.Museveni? it's like voting between a father and his sons . I also contend that Democracy in Uganda especially is only supported by the west and would certainly collapse without western intervention, so this entire notion you present is flawed. yes, Dictator (as if this is supposed to bring about feelings of despise ) Museveni, can be removed from power peacefully, if by using democracy, he would have to be voted out or 2. the people unite as they united against Hosni Mubarak and force a regime change
