In this debate I will argue that if taken literally the Bible can in no way be said to be accurate. I will argue this by the bibles own scientific and historical inaccuracies along with the contradictions within it's own texts. I look forward to a constructive debate and good luck to pro.

I am pro bible and pro Christianity. I believe the bible is the inspired Word of God and I am alumni of a Theological Seminary.
That being said...
There are parts of the bible that are not meant to be taken literally. It is a compilation of short stories, allegories, proverbs songs, history, and many other writing styles. To have such a vast collection of diverse writings taken literally is just ridiculous. Word for word interpretations are hardly the point. The point is the attitude behind it. It is intended to be read and lived, debating on whether it is word for word accurate is babytown frolics.
So in conclusion, I probably agree with you on some levels, however like reading the bible, it was the attitude behind the debate that caught my attention.
Looks like you win.

I had meant for this debate topic to actually be accepted by someone who was serious about it, not someone who was going to accept, insult the topic, then forfeit. The point of me opening this was to debate with someone who actually does take it literally as there are people out there (such as Ken Ham) who do. I'll be reopening this to anyone who is ACTUALLY serious about debating it. Vote Con.
