I have no argument. I can only gather what the crucifixion of Jesus did for Christianity.

ISIS is an ideology, how do you fight it.

Since you did not present an argument in the first round I will open with a soft position.

Not only can you win a war against an ideology, but we've won wars against 3 in the last 100 years.

We fought the ideologies of Italy/Germany(Fascism)(WW2), Japan(Belligerent cultural nationalism)(ww2), and the USSR(Communism/Socialism)(cold-war).

The American Revolution was itself an Ideological war. (Individual rights vs Monarchy)
The American Civil War was an ideological war. (Individual Rights, Freer North vs the Agrarian Feudal South)

As for winning an ideological war, one must first have an ideology in opposition to it, one must have a strong resolve and moral superiority, and one must decisively win. I will elaborate more on the 'how to' in round 2.
