Ha, I am also quite young. I am 15 years old to be exact. Your profile says you are 30 years old though. But let's get straight to the issue. My argument is for capitalism. There has never been a time in history when socialism has succeeded. The Socialist European economy is in complete shambles. I am not arguing for crony capitalism, however. I am arguing for complete free markets. As far as I am concerned the United States, which was based on capitalism thrived and grew faster than any other country. As we passed more legislature, more mandates, and more taxing, The US economy has slowed down. We are on a Keynesian economic track that takes is through booms and busts. It is a cycle that our spending puts us through because of taxation and regulations. When the economy starts to gain steam, the government piles on the taxes because the people have the money. Then we head into a recession and they pull of the taxes. So our economy just goes up and down in a cycle. If we have free market economics then our economy will just slowly but surely keep rising and now skyrocket up and then plummet down.

He hasn't rebuttled, yet so I have gotten to use my arsenal. But I acknowledge that I have much to learn

No offence but your knowledge of economics has not exactly prevailed in this argument so far.

Being young does not necessarily entail having a crappy argument.
