I'm not 100% sure how these work so please bear with me.

As an owner of both multiple cats and dogs and previously a dog person, I believe cats are better than dogs.

Con

Dogs are the best because their dogs and dogs are awesome, and awesome is the definition of dog, and dogs are awesome, thus awesome depicts dog, and dog depicts awesome. One my conclusion, this argument is f**ked up.

Cats are better than dogs because cats can learn every trick a dog can do while still holding a sense of independence. Teaching a cat tricks simply takes longer but is more entertaining than a dog doing tricks, which we've all seen before. Also dogs will love absolutely anyone but cats are very selective on who they show affection to, thus making it more special. Also cats clearly show signs of annoyance before attacking. I'm not saying dogs do not show signs but (for me at least) it's much easier with cats. Also cats are better to chill with because they don't try and lick your face 24/7.

Plus cats are bloody hilarious. Have you ever seen a cat playing? When they do that funny arched back and jump around in a circle, than quickly run off. It's one of the funniest things ever.

Apparently, we've only seen dogs do tricks because it's quite hard to train a cat.

I'm not sure if that was towards my argument or just in general. What I mean is while it is harder to train cats simply because they only listen and participate on their own terms, it is possible to train a cat to do any trick a dog can (expect bark) which makes it more rewarding.

If you claim that the cats can learn every trick a dog does, a dog should be able to do any trick a cat does too.

Reasons for voting decision: Con only addresses 1 of Pro's points, so the rest flow through and outweigh Con's single turn. Conduct vote because Con really either seemed to be trolling here or just didn't care at all about the debate, because in total he wrote 4 sentences.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro at least asserts an argument. Con just said "dogs are awesome", just a bare assertion at best .
