I do believe that children should not be forced into religion at such a young age. However, I do not believe it necessary to completely abolish religious teaching. One can form their opinions themselves so perhaps a teaching from an objective view point of religion would be wise. Religion is a theory, and science is a theory. Perhaps balancing the theories is better than to force. Conversely, a Christian family may bring the religion upon them at an early age, is this right? I think it is, many people could claim this is 'forcing' religion upon them but is it actually? Once they have understood the concepts and understandings, surely they can make their own free will to believe or not? They'd get the religious and science behind the world, so they could form an opinion and decide themselves. Most schools do not cover religious concepts and maybe bringing them up into a certain religion would help them to decide more objectively, and with understanding than to decide to be an 'Atheist' without actual understanding.
