UNRELIABLE Religion! The bible is so stupid. How does anyone believe this stuff!? Theres 0 proof. People saw jesus, and ghosts rising out of the dead? bull, if that stuff really happened how come it doesnt anymore? right cause it never did, people just believe it because it gives them security that theres something after life...maybe there is but not because the bible said so. just think about it and try to convince me Jesus is real, please try.

As a devout agnostic I despise both atheists and theists. However, I see the reasoning behind both and have, over time, come to realise that religion is just as good, in intention, as atheism. However, they both derive from entirely different beginnings. Theism, in this case specifically Christianity, derives for the need of defining good from bad so as to control people in a society effectively in order to maintain peace, atheism derives from the urge to use logic in order to solve everything.

If you wish to go con against Christianity you must realise that it is a control mechanism. When you realise this, you will understand that going con is futile.

This is a debate for and against Christianity... You never stated it was to prove its validity.

How can a debate exist where, instead of having to debate for your side you have to CONVINCE other side of your side... That's extremely unfair to con so for both conduct and spelling I think I should at least get votes...?!

Reasons for voting decision: obvious choice, the fact that Con is new to debating doesn't make a choice any less severe.

Reasons for voting decision: Although Con has my side in this debate, Pro must receive scores for his use of English. His composure added to his tally. As I agree fully with Pro, it pains me somewhat to gainsay his performance, but this was no debate. It was a simple and crude statement of opinion.
