BIBLETHUMPER

Con

In the Bible it says no in Romans 1:27 and last time I checked it was Adam ans Eve, not Adam and Steve.
Wylted

Pro

Romans 1:27 says "And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved."

However just a few pages past that, and probably the same page in most bibles it says in Romans 3:23 "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."

You don't become a Christian by being sinless. The bible states this is impossible. You become a Christian by accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and asking for forgiveness for your sins.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

You can be a homosexual, serial killer or any other deplorable thing in the world and be a Christian, because Jesus has been sacrificed in your name.

Actually, Democrats reject the concept of self ownership, otherwise they'd be libertarians (AKA conservatives), so they'd be liberal old middle Eastern men

I hate the argument "It was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve", because it isn't relevant. (1) We don't even know if Adam and Eve were the first humans, or even existed in the first place. (2) The Biblical God, father of Jesus, may not even exist, so "his" rules may be from really old middle eastern men who were homophobic, racist, sexist, owned slaves, and extremely conservative.

7 points to Pro. Reasons for voting decision: Pro quoted the verses he was talking about, spent more time in his argument, made no spelling or grammar mistakes, and used logical reasoning to support his claim.

[*Reason for removal*] (1) The voter doesn't justify conduct. (2) The voter insufficiently justifies arguments. Using logical reasoning is overly generalized and doesn't explain what it was about Pro's argument that made it successful and what it was about Con's argument that made it unsuccessful. (3) The voter insufficiently explains S&G. S&G mistakes have to be so substantial that Con's argument is very difficult to understand, and the voter hasn't explained how that's the case.

Lots of people seem to forget that Christians are supposed to repent. Jesus died to save you from your sins, not to make sin okay.

Reasons for voting decision: I don't see any other way to score this. It was a 1-round debate and Con only gave 1 line of argument. Even the best point imaginable would need greater explication than that, and with no responses, there was no clash to judge debating-skill by. Wylted wins by default.

Reasons for voting decision: I only sort of agree with pro, but the fact that he actually made a full argument and shut down con's argument, means that pro wins on arguments. I mean, con's argument is that the Bible says homosexuality is wrong, and pro says that you're not a Christian because you're perfect, as loved by the Bible. So pro pretty much takes this one.
