Is college education worth the pay?

I believe that college education is not worth the pay. The years that you spend in a university or college are years that you are tormenting your brain and causing yourself mental exhaustion. I believe it's ridiculous how they make us go to school for 12 years then still expect us to work even harder for another 4+ years. Going to college is tampering with your mental health and stability, our mental health is more important than overloading our brain with with information that half of it will even go to waste.

In today's society you need college, a lot of jobs will not hire you without at least an associate's

That may be true, but there is a difference between education required for a specific position that may only take one class a week for a 15- week semester, rather than a four year degree or a career that requires something beyond a bachelors. So with that said, just to clarify and make sure we are on the same page, what do you take to be the definition of "college"?

WilliamGaspar54, let's assume for this situation that college is any courses or education required for a position, taken in a college/university setting. Any way you look at it, you're still going to school and working yourself for those classes. What would it take for me to convince you that college is not worth the cost?

College is an important part of our education system, if we didn't have it, any moron could do whatever job he/she wanted, anybody could be a doctor, or a pilot, or have to build a house. Would you trust someone who didn't go to school for a longer time to do something that could go wrong and kill you?

If it appeared you had any structure or case regarding the resolution I would take it. However, you don't. This looks like an aimless bluster with no thesis.
