Communism, in a way, is totalitarian. The state owns everything and the population has some sort of subservience. If you take a minute and think about communism isn't all that great. You"re forced to work in order to get your needs. You may think that is just but it truly isn't. If you truly think about it, communism is the equivalent of menial labor for less than minimum wage payment.
Everybody is equal though and the communist government could make everybody happy. Everybody shares everything and everybody has equal rights. Discrimination of any kinds is eliminated. The government provides everybody with education and nobody is left behind. There is no conflict over possessions (because everybody shares things) and there is no conflict over religion because your only allowed to practice religion at your house. I will admit communism isn't the best style of government (socialism is the best, communism is second), but it promotes equality among everyone, which is good. Thank you for debating this with me.
Yes, but still. Look at Cuba for example. Their economy is completely beyond salvation. An immigrant would have to wait months to immigrate with enough money to properly establish themselves. The average Cuban makes 466 pesos a month and that is the equivalent of 26.5 USD. Most of the government's money comes from a foreign source of income. If that income were to stop than the country would not be able to support itself. That would inevitably lead to anarchy and bloodshed. Everyone will be expecting their fair share and riot.
