Communism does not value creativity. The average person, as George Carlin once observed, is not particularly good at anything. The perfect job for such a person is on the assembly line. But regardless of the governments under which we live, we all have different aspirations. Some people are perfectly happy sweeping floors, but most of us"justly"want more out of life. Not only money, but fame, glory, and a sense of accomplishment. All of these require at least some creative thought. You may want to be a poet or a painter, but these jobs certainly don"t pay the bills" and Communism views them as unnecessary and ridiculous. All that matters is building a super-powerful nation"and one of the first obstacles that must be removed is what Jefferson called "the pursuit of happiness."

Firstly, it is impossible to place the ideology of "Communism" under the popularized blanket that has been witnessed through the employment of ruthless men (such as Joseph Stalin or Mao Zedong). As a concept, Communism presents the possibility to benefit a wider variety of people than is possible of Capitalism.

Communism believes in a socioeconomic order that is built upon fair distribution of land, common ownership through means of production, and ultimately equal rights to all citizens. Capitalist governments do not act to preserve these ideals, working far more in a "survival of the fittest" manner, for there is an unfair advantage granted to a select portion of the population.

Capitalism grants the ability of the better educated or previously wealthy of a society to completely own to economy. A man who is born into a family of millionaires has far more opportunities than one born in the slums. Capitalism, furthermore, does not advocate for the equal treatment of individuals under the government. The rich and successful are able to bypass any limitations imposed upon them, and the disadvantaged masses ultimately pay the price for this.

Communism is superior in that it fundamentally prevents any person from gaining an unfair advantage over their fellow man, as well as imposes uniform rights upon citizens regardless of any external factors. The person born of the slums will be treated just as well, and have just as many opportunities, as the person born to the rich.

To close this opening statement: Communism is a fundamentally more fair system than Capitalism, and thus is qualitatively "better".
