Hello comrades good day for a debate

Well why don't my opponent start this argument, why do you think that communism isn't the way?
Samdeman90

Con

Communism looks good on paper, but it never works. Human nature is such that we can never be selfless enough to realize a perfect communist society. And if human nature was perfect, we wouldn't need a communist system in place, as we'd provide free food and lodging for everyone no matter what.

I'm sorry comrade but i do not think that you understand what i am talking about, i am talking about the communist plan like equality or economy plans
reply-Of course there is no way for us to be perfect, but communism can be achieved without perfection.
There will always be curruption, curruption occurs everywhere you look, in any society.

Communism has been attempted to more than one time. It always seems to fail.

What do you mean my faliure?
Soviet union fell because they attempted to become democratic
look at New China, a glorious powerful communist nation.
Samdeman90

Con

The Soviet Union fell because their economy couldn't survive their aggressive military buildup, and because the general populace was dirt poor and starving.

New China is a powerful nation, yes. However, it is no longer an economically communist nation. China also has an appalling record in the area of liberty and human rights.

My biggest problem with communism is that human beings are always corrupt, especially in positions of leadership. And a free democratic government is a much better way to keep that corruption in check.

OK queston?
neither of you used any resources to back up your point.
You both failed in your argument my 10 year old sister could have made stronger points than both of you.

Many of the countries in Africa tried various forms of democratic socialism. All failed. North Korea and Cuba tried, both failures. India starved under democratic socialism, revived under capitalism. China starved under communism, and has prospered in proportion to their conversion to free markets.

Poor debate, as neither side treated the history in any depth. However, Pro failed to cite and reasons why he thought it was a good idea. He even failed to make an opening statement. Clear default.

I am quite familiar with the history of the Soviet Union. I quote Vladimir Putin (who I roundly dislike, but he has a point)
"Whoever does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart. Whoever wants it back has no brain."

By this argument, I am a heartless *&%!... But everyone already knew that. No, he has no point. The system was flawed and hypocritical. Communism has never been about equality on any level. It's a poor man's movement trying to bring down the rich. Blaming your problems on other people is never the solution. Besides, what did the Soviet Union accomplish? The "classless society" that marx envisioned? Hardly. There was the ruling class. They became the oligarchy that they so despised. As a demonstration of the power of the existence of the ruling class, I submit the ridiculous level of censorship in the Soviet Union. In the perfect communist state, the property of one is the property of all, yes? What legal precedence existed for banning books and authors? "We cannot read this, comrades." Why not? It's our property, isn't it? The only reason the Soviet Union hung around for so long is that people were terrified of the KGB and the Cheka before them. And who could blame them?

Sigh, another text message debate. China is a bad example of a communist state, it has private property and billionaires.

Surely you must admit he has a point with the Soviet Union. That is, if you are familiar with its history.

Great future leader of where? North Korea? Listen to him! He sounds like the next Lenin. Pogroms and Gulags and Red Terror for everyone.

Personally i believe that this "Communist_support" fellow is illustrating his obvious superiority and I really do feel sorry for "Samdeman90" for accepting this debate against a person who looks like a great future leader.

And no I am in no way affiliated with this "Communist_support" dude.
