Hey guys, I left this first round for pleasantries.
My opponent will be arguing that complete equality of all people is possible.
I am arguing that complete equality of all people is impossible.
Good luck to my opponent.

Con

Equality is defined as "as great as; the same as".

I believe that all people could be equal if they all died. While this is not desirable, we would all be equal.

When all people are dead, then they all are experiencing the same thing: nothing.

Dead people are equal in:
-Income
-Standard of Living
-Emotions
-Wealth
-Power

We can conclude from this that the complete equality of all people is possible in the case of mass extermination.

lol, thank you. Oh wow, that's great. Thanks so much. I would like to change the statement.
The new statement up for debate is- Complete Equality of all Living Breathing People is Impossible.
wjmelements

Con

That's not the resolution I agreed to.

I do not accept this new resolution and insist that the original resolution has been effectively negated.

To edit a resolution mid-debate is clearly abusive, as anyone would just be able to mend the debate into whatever they please.

I await a rebuttal.

Unfortunately, my opponent has forfeited. I await a rebuttal in the next round, perhaps.

I thank my opponent for this debate and assert that there is no reason not to vote for CON.

It doesn't say anything about a "person". It says plenty about "people".

wj's argument, while brilliant, is fallacious. A person is defined as a conscious, self-aware being. Dead humans are neither conscious nor self-aware, and are therefore not persons.

That was semantics. Pure semantics. I would've taken this to.
