Round 1 is acceptance. Don't use this to make your case. I am arguing that conservatism is a good system for america. My opponent will argue that it is a bad system for america, not that liberalism is good for america. Please do not make arguments in the round 1. That would be a dick move. There is no burden of proof.

What are we going off, conservative stances on social, economic, and foreign policy issues v.s liberal stances?

So for example Pro would argue a pro (conservative) stance on unilateral military intervention, while con would argue a con (liberal) stance on unilateral military intervention?

Also you need to clarify if your conservative stance includes libertarian ideas on say drug legalization, because if I accept and I argue the liberal side on marijuana legalization I would consider the liberal stance to be pro on that, but if you consider libertarianism conservative then there is a whole gray area, because many libertarians are liberal on foreign policy and social issues but very conservative on economics.

You were very unclear in your description of a very broad debate.

"There is no burden of proof." How would you like this drbate to be judged, if proving points is thrown out?
