Please use this first round to argue. (at the last round please end by saying just the word end so we do not have a different number of arguments.)

Yo man. Christianity is like the coolest thing ever. What harm does it do when you teach it in class? If some people are not
Christians, they could just zone out. There is nothing bad about learning different ways of creation. Evolution is required in public schools. Isn't that just another creation story? Same with the Big Bang Theory. Therefore, no harm would be done if creationism is taught in science class.

1. Con started out by saying a very biased argument saying that Christianity is the coolest thing ever. This is not something that you should ever say because every other religion will disagree with you.

2. I never said don't teach Christianity and many people are not christians. if you teach christianity in any class (unless is is a religious based school or class) it is very disrespectful to everyone else who is not Christian. If i taught atheism in a class I wouldn't say that the christians should just zone out. It is highly disrespectful.

3. yes learning different ideas helps people come up with their own, but, creationism is not a science. It is religion. Religion and science should be completely separated. Evolution is not a story. it is a scientifically proven fact with loads of proof in your everyday life. it has also been shown through genetics. Creationism has never been proven and is impossible to prove by not using words written in a book over 1000 years ago.

4. In Science class you are supposed to know fact. not opinion. as a said before religion and science are completely separate.

I believe that it is very important for someone to know how Religions work and how they affect the human condition. For example: The Catholic Church Hierarchy that did terrible things in the 1500's caused complete misfortune with the poor. Bribing was, at the time, the only way for people to 'wash their sins' and become pure in the eyes of God that are so 'ever-knowing'. Much later, religious wars affected whole regions let alone two countries. And like someone else said, the Muslims were, and still are, looked down upon for the doings of Bing Laden and ALQUEDA. And also think about World War II. The ignorance of the Nazi Germans towards the Jewish faith. And look what became of it...six million Jews died before the end of the war! Homosexuals were oppressed too. And many religious people, usually Muslims and Christians, look down upon Gays for the most part as a part of their religious beliefs. You can also think of the knockout gangs over in New York now beating up the Jews and committing hate crimes. Almost like the Neo-Nazis in Medford, Massachusetts. Anyhow, it's something to think about.

I don't believe it should be in science class... Creationism is too large... Try Religion I, Religion II, Advanced Religion... Religion makes up the beliefs and culture of most the world (50% of the world is Muslim or Christian.)

You CAN NOT leave school not understanding the religions that make up the culture of so many... What happened to Muslims after 9/11 because no one understood their religion is a good example.
