Debate Rounds (3)

Pro Hello everyone, and welcome to DDO's first cubing debate! In this debate, we will post a video each round solving a cube. The goal is not to be the fastest, but most impressive. Judges, vote bomb whoever's videos were more impressive to you overall. This means regular solves of complex puzzles, fast solves, one handed solves, or even blind folded should be a contributing factor to how you vote. The only rule is, each cuber may only use a puzzle once. For example, we can both use a megaminx, but I can't use a megaminx twice. I'll start it off with a simple Pyraminx solve. Report this Argument Con Thankyou, SeventhProfessor! I'm excited and look forward to having a fun debate! :) I'll be starting out with a 2x2 blindfolded solve. I haven't practiced BLD for a while, so I'm a bit rusty, but I still find it alot of fun. I hope any viewers will enjoy it as well!Report this Argument Pro That part in the beginning when I say oops and do something off camera is just me switching to my right hand. I only turned it once or twice before realizing it was off camera.Report this Argument Con Thanks, SeventhProfessor! It's also cool to be able to see your awesome puzzle collection in the background. :)My next solve shall be a 4x4 solve!Report this Argument Con Very nice solve! I'd also like to thank SeventhProfessor for challenging me to this debate. I've had alot of fun (: As you will recall, the voting for this debate is primarily over who you found more impressive..So vote accordingly! Here is my final video.Thank you!!Report this Argument

In the first round, Pro did a "Pyraminx solve" and Con did a simple - but blindfolded - cube solve. While the end result of Pro's was better looking (Pyraminx > small cube), the blindfolded aspect took the round, I think.

Second round: Pro took a page from Con's book and added the twist of "one-handed" to it, instead of blindfolded. Con, meanwhile, did a 4x4 speedsolve. Again, the methods were better for Con. Maybe it's because I've never done one-handed, but the sheer speed at which Con solved the cube was amazing! 0-2

Lastly, Pro did an extremely impressive 7x7 (WOW) solve, whereas Con stuck to his guns on another speedsolve. Here, I think Pro did a better job, because he expanded his arsenal, as it were.

The end result is 1-2, but per Pro's rules, I vote bomb for the victor, who I believe to be Con. But - wow - nice debate, guys!

I would vote on this but I truly don't know how to compare what is impressive and what isn't when it comes to cubing haha.
