Ladies and gentlemen, take some time to think of those who have departed from DDO. Chances are you remember talented people like Thaddeus or Royal who left us long ago and have yet to turn up, other older members probably remember other people who left DDO years ago and will most likely never be seen again. These people's great memories and deeds are kept alive only by those who remember them. And as time goes on, those people leave too, and thus the memories of the great ones of the original DDO are lost to time itself as the people who did remember them dwindle in numbers.
That is why in my belief, DDO should have its own graveyard. To remember those who have left us to pursue greater things in the real world. So here is how it works. 1) The DDO graveyard will be like any stickied thread somewhere in the forums 2) If an account has not been active for over 3 months (because they either said they would leave or just decided to leave and not tell anybody) then their funeral will be held in the forums where people can recall the best qualities and debates of that person. 3) Afterwords the (deceased) profile and their memorable traits + debates will be preserved in the DDO graveyard in a single post. The post will also show how long they were a part of DDO, and when they were active on the site This will help preserve the memory of the great ones who came and left before us, and immortalize them until the internet itself dies. (WARNING: The outcome of this debate will NOT make this idea into reality, this is solely my opinion regarding DDO itself that I am willing to debate about. If all my debates about DDO were implemented then there would be a DDO Prom and all of DDO would have a giant sex orgy in a doomsday bunker should the world end in 2012. Basically, this is just a debate) This round has not been posted yet. |

Zaradi has returned, but royal is among "the fallen".
