The Death penalty is needed in many situations. There are people, and situations in life where Jail is just not enough. Someone such as Hitler does not deserve to live after what he did to millions of people.
I believe that jail is sometimes not enough after looking at one's mistakes. At the same time, taking away one's life is not the way to one because every life is valuable. Respect for human life is the key to this argument, and although someone may be horrible enough to take away a life, we should not go as low as them.
In situations such as this, the taking of their life is good for the community. not only is it more expensive to keep them alive, but it is also less practical. keeping someone so evil alive hurts our world. they did not live with human dignity themselves so they do not deserve our sympathy.
There are alternates to taking a criminal away from the community. For instance, there are mental institutions and foreign jails or camps where they could be sent. Either way, it is wrong to try and justify killing one, no matter what the situation is.
This as well will cost the community a lot of tax money. As well, these places are not safe places for a criminal like this to be. Killers like this would be dangerous to the people in charge of the facilities. If someone like Hitler could get millions to follow him and kill others, he could easily start an uprising in a jail, or another place.
A human life that took lives themselves. The fact that you could think that a person who has killed many people deserves to live is sickening. A human life is a wonderful thing, only if they do not abuse or destroy others lives. these people should not be aloud to walk around prisons influencing others with their evil.
Having a life is a basic human right. I am not justifying killing anyone. You are saying that killing someone will solve the problem of someone else killing another. You are being a hypocrite for saying that one should not kill, but yet you are encouraging killing.
These people that have killed have done so out of disgust and un humain reasons. We are justifying the killing of a horrible way through the system of government. Someone going up to this person and killing them would be wrong, but if a jury was to come to the conclusion of the death of this person, it should be done. To kill is a bad thing, but sometimes the other option is not acceptable in the case of cruel and horrid people.
