You have marked that death penalty is good. Why? It kills the people in our society. If you think that they should die because they did something bad, why not draft them into the army. Or sentence them to life inprisonment, they can't do any harm there. I think that my opinion makes more sense and is more helpful to the community.

Yes, I do believe that the death penalty is the right thing for the circumstance in which it is argued. Killing is never a good thing. Life is a fragile and precious gift and should never be taken for granted.

You suggested to draft them. Why? Why put them in a place where they can further defy the laws of this country to more extreme levels? Why put a gun in a murderer's or rapist's hands? Why put them in a environment that they love and thrive in? We tell them what they did was wrong, but then put them in a place that someone like them would consider a sort of personal heaven? That teaches them nothing. What happens when they come back? What has taught them that what they did was wrong? Nothing.

You also suggested life imprisonment. Can you imagine the state of prisons if every person condemned to death were still alive feeding of our tax money? In most cases, the current life within prison walls is 10 times better than their life outside of it. They can do harm there too. They can do further harm to themselves as well as fellow prisoners. They have no place in society and no use in it with the exception of being an outlet for tax money. So why would them taking up space and wasting hard earned money be more helpful to the community?

quote "If you think that they should die because they did something bad, why not draft them into the army." So your saying that everyone in the army has an automatic death sentence? someone could be in the army and be stationed nowheres near the action. also, people volunteer to be in the army to serve our nation, thats why the US has a VOLUNTEER Military. they would not want, nor accept a criminal with 2 options, life in prison or army, why, because they cant be trusted in the heat of battle.

life in prison isnt much of life at all, unless you count free meals, tv, books, drugs being smuggled in, oh yeah i bet that the US tax dollars are being well spent on the lifers. also the jails in the US are overcrowded as it is, how many more lifers are going to be able to fit in them?

quote "It kills the people in our society." if a person committed a crime so haneous as to deserve the death penalty, what positive effect on society will they have? it is people like them who degrade society.

the death penalty is a fair sentence. a convict has his appeals to use before the execution, and if he isnt pardoned, then put the needle in him.

sorry wheelhouse for coming up with my own debate, lol.
