Wearing a hijab diminishes self-confidence and pride. In fact, hijabs disgrace women and restrict their path to individuality and self-actualization.
If the female herself has the desire to wear a hijab, by all means she has the full right o and the school shouldn't restrict that decision.
I believe Islamic Hijab is a bit too much. Because it stems from the Islamic idea that the place of woman is at home and she should not appear in public unless it's really necessary. It's unpractical in the modern world where women play an equal role as men in the society and appear active and influential in every area of life.
Also in modern society, the hijab draws more attention to the lady, even though the irony is that the hijab supposed to prevent attention.
I'd like to point out is that wearing such clothes doesn't make you chaste and "clean". It's your attitude that makes you modest and chaste.
In terms of rape and molestation, cloth doesn't offer any protection if a man is really desperate all that will just come right off. Now, fighting back and getting help that will fight for your side, is better.
If men don't have to cover themselves, why should women.
A hijab doesn't automatically mean modesty, those that don't wear hijab are modest and truthful. The stupid argument is this: women that don't wear hijab are asking for attention, sluts, and improper.
That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Mostly, those women taht do wear hijab will be stereotyped 99% of the time . Thought of always obedient and serving men, weak, unoriginal, secluded, inferior, subordinate, passive
By wearing a hijab you are running away from the problem not solving. Let's teach our boys to treat all girls with respect, and teach girls that they are not judged based on what they wear, hijab or not, they will be loved and accepted regardless.
