Since Greenland is mostly an island of ice, and Iceland is generally Green throughout the year, I believe Denmark(who controls the territory of Greenland) should meet with Iceland and have the two islands swap names. This way the names can be representative of what they actually are.

This isn't really a serious debate, but figured I'd put it out here. Only two rounds of debating since I don't see much to debate on, and 500 character limit.

It seems like a lot of work with no real purpose except to help confused tourists.

It would likely benefit Iceland's economy then, as they would probably get more tourists if they were named Greenland. Plus, it's about honesty too. It's not honest to call Greenland, Greenland when it's mostly ice, and the same for Iceland.

It seems like it would be wrong to the people living there to change the names without their consent. If it were to happen it should be by a vote, not just a meeting between the two leaders. If we are going by honesty America should not be called America because it was not really found by Amerigo Vespucci.
